Program Details -

Owner - Late Ibrahims wife. Worker IBrahim died while working in MIddle East in 2023. His wife is living with three childrens in a shabby house in her village in Assasuni, Sathkhira district.

Husband : Late Ibrahim Lashkar, S/O Keramat Ali Lashkar

Village – Kurikahunia, Post office – Pratabnagar, Assasuni,

District – Sathkhira.

Mrs. Nihad Sultana is an young widowed and lives with her three children . She hardly earns any money. She used to share an old house that belongs to her father in law and hardly have space for all of them. They applied for the help from BRIC Foundation to build their house, as they can’t afford to build the house.

BRIC Foundation accepted the application and decided to build a house for them. It has two rooms and one balcony.

The house is designed by Architect Arshia Butul and the structure is done by Engineer Kamrul Ahsan. The house is built four feet above the sea level allowing enough height to overcome the regular water surge in the area due to cyclone. Construction of the site began in April, 2024 and completed in October 2024. House was handed over to the widowed family in December 2024. Picture of the new residence.
