Profession – Day laborour, making an income of 7000-8000 Taka per month

Address - Village – Protapnagar, Post office – Protapnagar, Assasuni, District – Sathkhira
 

Mr. Rabiul Islam, a daily laborers, earns about 7 to 8 thousand taka monthly. He and his wife live in Satkhira with their three children. He lives in a house that is only one room and is also in a very poor condition. This house was built long ago and is their ancestral property. They applied for the help from BRIC Foundation to build their house, so that they can live in a secure place.

BRIC Foundation accepted the application and decided to build a house for them. This house is 20 feet by 16 feet. It has two rooms and one balcony.

The house is designed by Architect Arshia Butul and the structure is done by Creators (The Design Syndicate). Construction of the site began in October, 2024 and completed in July 2025. House was formally handed over to the family in August 2025.
