Fatema Shams Ara Female Madrasha and Orphanage was established in 2022 with the fund donated by Late Mr. Shabab Ahmed Chowdhury. This is located in South Jhonjhonia area, Nazirpur of Pirojpur District.
The purpose of the creation of this orphanage cum religious education center was to help the orphans and needy young girls of this area to find a safe place to live and study so that they can become educated and self sufficient in future. This is girl only institute.
Within one year of its establishment, the center has found shelter for 38 young girls who are living and studying here. The center has three teachers and the students are accommodated in five rooms. Currently more structure is being built to accommodate more orphans and young female students of the area.
This center is supervised by Moulana Mohammed Rashidul Islam and is being supported by Mr. Imran Ahmed Chowdhury and Ms. Fowwara Chowdhury of BRIC Foundation.
