Bashbari Jamia Islamia Darul Ulum Qawmi Madrasha and Orphanage was established in 2001. This is located in Bashbari area of Mawna in Gazipur District.

The purpose of the creation of this orphanage cum religious education center was to help the orphans and needy young boys of this area - to find a safe place to live and study so that they can become educated and self sufficient in future.

In 2010, few members of the foundation started supporting the institute. Currently the center has 80 young boys who are living and studying here. The center has five teachers and the students are accommodated in two small tin shed building.
